1. The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, has released his pay slips for the past six months. This is in reaction to the challenge by the Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, that members of the National Assembly should make public their remuneration, the The pay slips which covered Dogara’s salary between the months of October 2016 to March 2017 was released by his spokesperson, Turaki Hassan, on Tuesday. It revealed that the Speaker earns about N300,000 after tax deductions.
2. Report says a whistleblower has led operatives of the EFCC to the discover yet another staggering sum of N4 Billion suspected to be proceeds of crime. EFCC in a statement said the owner of the funds revealed that the money belongs to a former deputy governorship candidate in Niger State.
4. American trained journalist, Kemi Olunloyo, was on Tuesday granted bail in the sum of N1 million by a Federal High Court sitting in Port Harcourt, Rivers State. The Journalist had been remanded in Port Harcourt prison over alleged defamatory report against Pastor David Ibiyeomie of Salvation Ministry.
5. The Nigeria Police Academy, Wudil, Kano State has announced that the sale of​ ​application forms for admission into the 5th Regular Course of its degree programme commenced on ​Monday, 13th​ ​March, 2017​. The closing date for the sale is ​Saturday, 17th June, 2017.
